K-C Invests in Singapore Site

Company plans to expand Huggies production, improve wipes line

Kimberly-Clark is reportedly investing more than $18 million in its Tuas, Singapore manufacturing facility with the goal of doubling capacity there by 2022. The plan calls for expanding production of Huggies diapers and Pull-Ups and improve value to its Huggies baby wipes line. The investment also incorporates a number of 4.0–related productivity enhancements such as deploying automatic guided vehicles and advanced warehouse management systems.

The facility provides products to countries across the Asia-Pacific region including Australia, New Zealand, China and Taiwan.
